The Levinsky Market or Shuk Levinski in Hebrew is one of Tel Aviv’s most beloved markets, albeit not as famous as Tel Aviv’s Carmel Market or Shuk haCarmel. Located in the Florentin Quarter of Tel Aviv, the Levinsky Market was founded in 1927 as an area for spice merchants and kitchenwares dealers to trade. The world famous Pereg spice company’s first shop is in Levinsky Market and their products are now a staple in Israeli and Jewish homes throughout the world.
